A demon from a human

I have to admit that the writer in this novel struck me with a strange kind of horror. That boy who lost his father and his life changed. His family, of which I am afraid to be a member and even terrified at the mere thought of meeting them. A novel that made me think about my relationship with my family. Do I really know them?! Do they know me?
